To many people love at first sight is a romantic notion that only happens in the movies. To some love at first sight is what dreams are made of. To a select few, love at first sight is a reality.
I will never forget the first time I saw my love. I actually felt myself stop breathing for a second. It really was like a movie and everything kind of stood still for a second. The moment we started talking I could feel that click and I couldn’t wait for our first date. If you have been reading my blog you know I’m a die-hard romantic.
I believe in everlasting love. So much so I wrote a romance novel! Many have told me that I’m crazy it takes time to get to know someone...but I believe if you know, you know. If after a year or so of dating your still saying you don’t know then guess what…it wasn’t meant to be.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not discouraging dating at all. Like I said in a previous blog, “You have to kiss a lot of frogs to get to the prince.” However, once you do find that prince the “click” will be instant, and you will feel the same in six months or in 60 years. Real love at first sight happens when you find that other half; that soul mate, the lid for your pot. There will be times when you will think you may have found that person but if you have to think…then you haven’t. Love at first sight is instant and unmistakable.
Now take this for what it is worth coming from a hopeless romantic like me but love at first sight is real and not just in movies. I have had cynics say to me, “You don’t just want to be in love, you want to be in love in a movie,” and I say to that, so what? Who doesn’t? What girl, at least once in their life, didn’t wish they were Cinderella waiting for her handsome prince to whisk her away to the castle? I don’t think the prince said "Wait, we have to date for a few years first." I do realize that is just a fairy tale...but even fairy tales have to come from somewhere.
