I am noticing all the signs of spring popping up here in N. Woburn. The trees are budding, flowers are poking up out of the ground all over.
But yet, there is another sign of spring popping up as well. The portable, disposible signs that every landscaper and organization sticks into the ground everywhere. You know the ones: held up with two wire legs, stuck in the ground at every intersection and highway on-ramp.
Isn't there a city ordinance to prevent this? I mean these things are eyesores don't you think?

I have been checking them out and these are the things I have been noticing. The newest one is now in the Route 38 rotary. It's billed as a "Helicopter Egg Drop." Hmmmm, really? I get the impression that no good can come from this. I picture eggs dropping, kids running around with bleeding foreheads and blackened eyes as shouts of "Stop the madness!" rise up form the crowd! Been laughing about that one all morning.
Then we have the "Need Bark Mulch?" and one of my favorites: "Get Cash Fast!"

Now, I don't know about you, but I would be more inclined to get bark mulch from someone using one of these signs, than borrowing any amount of cash from someone using these signs.
Then there is the "Sell your home in 9 days" sign. Hmm, what do they know that my local realtor doesn't? And if they are that smart, why do they need a cheap sign to advertise? People would be beating down thier door to sell their homes!
How about the cheating spouse sign? What can they do for you? Stop your spouse form cheating? Help you to cheat? And what methods do they use? Soon the Woburn singles .com signs will appear also, adding to the springtime sights.
Ahh, the signs of spring are everywhere, and you don't even have to look hard, it will pop up on every spare piece of earth all around town.
Peace everyone, happy spring!
