Thank You to All Who Donated Food
Woburn residents donated 18,500 pounds of food during a recent food drive.
The Woburn letter carriers, along with the Council of Social Concern, would like to thank everyone for their generous donations from last week's food drive. Despite the October Nor'easter that slammed New England last Saturday, Woburn residents donated 18,500 pounds of food.
As Actor Jeff Bridges said, "One of the greatest feelings in the world is knowing that we as individuals can make a difference. Ending hunger in America is a goal that is literally within our grasp." It takes people pulling together as a community to make a difference. Thank you to all who donated. It is through donations that we come closer to ending hunger. It is because of those donations that local families will enjoy a warm holiday meal.
