The Filibuster - Rand Takes a Stand

For many years I felt that I alone could not do anything about our government's policies nor did my opinion matter. I have come to realize that nations fall when good men do nothing.

It is truly amazing that one of our U.S. Senators would have the courage, fortitude and intelligence to get before his peers, the media and his friends and voice the truth from his heart in exactly what he feels about the "drone issue".  He spoke without notes, and with eloquence and inspiration against a truly disturbing plan that our President and his cabinet have decided to do against our fellow American citizens.  As Rand Paul put it so plainly, should we shoot down the likes of another Jane Fonda simply for "resisting" or "disagreeing with American policies"?  When we accept every decision that comes through executive order, we my fellow Americans will soon be found as a nation, to be "out of order".  Our Constitution has laws within that protect us - from hostile nations, from our own self and from enemies within our boundaries so how do we ignore "alterations" to a document set in stone for our own good?  We all need to voice our outrage that our government could patrol our communities and have names and offenses that would give them the right to simply shoot us dead in our Starbuck coffee shops as we discuss our positions and beliefs that our contrary to those that dictate from the White House.  You may think that this opinion is absurd - but truthfully, is it?  If they are talking about it, then they are planning to do it.  They don't want to call a terrorist act a terrorist act as to be politically correct but they will go forward and offend all of America by boldly feeling free to kill those within our own borders that may be planning to speak up for truth.  I personally applaud the Senator of Kentucky that is truly in the minority of brave men and women who are willing to stand up for all of us.  Thank you Rand Paul.
