Back by popular demand, Tweetup Woburn #2 is set for Wednesday, February 1, at 5:30 p.m, at Century Suites. The event will bring together Woburn area social media newbies and veterans to network, share ideas and hear from a panel of social media experts. The event is free but people are asked to register here.
The first TweetUp Woburn, held on a stormy summer night, was a great time as you can gather from this about it. I really enjoy the chance Tweetups provide to meet people in person that I've begun to know online. It helps to cement relationships, and deepens the subsequent Twitter and Facebook exchanges.
Social media is evolving rapidly, so it's great to have a chance to pick up new ideas. Tweetup participants and our guest panelists will be a great resource. Much of the time will be devoted to informal networking, followed by a panel discussing ways experts use social media for work and fun. The panel will features the first person to do 15,000 Foursquare checkins, the founder of MassInnovation Nights, and an expert on the use of social media in crisis situations. Visit the event site to learn more about our speakers.
