WMHS Seniors Anthony Giglio and Andrew Allen Receive Scholarships from Media Center
Woburn Public Media Center announces 2013 Scholarship Winners
Woburn Public Media Center has awarded two scholarships to two students who have stood out among all other media students in their class. Each will received $500.
Anthony Giglio has been involved with the high school daily Morning Announcements broadcast which is viewed each morning by students and teachers at WMHS via local access cable. The broadcast originates from the Woburn Public Media Center studio located on the second floor of the high school. Anthony has also volunteered countless times to help the media center produce shows throughout his four year high school span. This includes the annual Telethon for the Council of Social Concern and ultimately creating and hosting his own talk show with other students called It's Time to Talk. Anthony has been accepted to the Connecticut School of Broadcasting and will be studying there in the fall.
Andrew Allen has taken the Television Production classes and now writes and produces his own shows and skits with other students. His dry and witty sense of humor and writing and organizing skills have set him apart as a well rounded video production student. Since taking the TV Production classed at WPMC, Andrew has changed his college major to film production and will be studying at Emerson College in the fall.
