Trust. Transparency. Independent judgment.

Margie Palladino’s strongest qualification may be something that cannot be created during an election:

Find out what's happening in Woburnfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

She has chosen to stand with families.

SHE HAS THE EXPERIENCE TO BACK IT UP.

Palladino is a former trial attorney, former partner at a Boston law firm, and has Supreme Judicial Court experience.

She is also the co-founder and Executive Director of the Massachusetts Family Advocacy Coalition (MFAC), a grassroots organization dedicated to family-court reform and advocacy.

Her advocacy did not begin with this election.

For years, Palladino has worked with families, advocates and policymakers on fairness, justice and meaningful family-court reform.

Her work surrounding the Massachusetts coercive-control law, along with amicus briefs she has authored, demonstrates a commitment to systemic reform that reaches far beyond one individual case. That kind advocacy supports thousands of families and communities.

Margie chooses to stand behind families.

Not because she has to.

Not because an election requires it.

Because she believes families deserve a voice.

THE FERRITER NOMINATION PUT THAT QUESTION FRONT AND CENTER.

The Governor’s Council voted 4–3 to confirm Mary Ferriter to the Probate and Family Court.

The nomination generated significant concern among domestic-violence survivors and family-court advocates, particularly regarding Ferriter’s prior involvement with a controversial court-ordered parenting program.

Several domestic-violence survivors and advocates throughout the Commonwealth personally reached out to Governor’s Councilor Mara Dolan urging her to oppose the nomination.

Dolan had stated that she stands behind domestic-violence victims.

She ultimately voted in favor of Ferriter’s confirmation.

That has left many advocates asking:

When hundreds of survivors and advocates personally reach out to their elected representative, what weight should their voices carry in the decision to confirm a judge?

This is not an accusation that Dolan violated a law or ethics rule.

It is a question about trust, transparency, responsiveness and confidence in the judicial appointment process.

AND THERE IS ANOTHER QUESTION.

When a Governor’s Councilor is also an actively practicing attorney within the Massachusetts court system, what safeguards should exist to protect public confidence in the judicial appointment process?

Again, this is not an accusation of wrongdoing.

It is a question about trust, transparency and the appearance of independence.

WHY MARGIE?

Because Palladino brings both legal credentials and years of advocacy experience to the Governor’s Council.

She has practiced law.

She has worked in the courts.

She has Supreme Judicial Court experience.

And she has spent years advocating for families and systemic reform.

She understands that courtroom decisions aren’t abstract.

They can determine:

Where children live.
Parenting time.
Custody.
Safety.
And the future of families.

HER ADVOCACY IS FOR EVERYONE.

Palladino supports LGBTQ+ rights, disability rights and anti-racism, grounded in the belief that every person deserves dignity, fairness and equal justice.

She chooses to stand with families.

She chooses to stand for fairness.

She chooses to stand for accountability.

And she has been making those choices long before this election.

SEPTEMBER 1ST IS YOUR CHOICE.

The Ferriter nomination may have brought the Governor’s Council into sharper focus.

But this election is about something much bigger:

Who do you trust to help select the judges who will decide the future of Massachusetts families?

Margie Palladino brings:

Legal experience.
Courtroom experience.
Supreme Judicial Court experience.
Family-court advocacy.
A commitment to systemic reform.
And a demonstrated commitment to standing with families.

SEPTEMBER 1ST, MAKE YOUR VOICE COUNT.

VOTE MARGIE PALLADINO FOR GOVERNOR’S COUNCIL.

A voice for families.
A voice for fairness.
A voice for justice.
A voice for reform.
