Police Cite Property Owner for 'Numerous Hazardous Conditions'

Police found problems on Totman Drive.

Woburn Police cited a property owner on Totman Drive after officers found “numerous hazardous conditions and violations of city ordinances.”

Police responded to Totman Drive about 4:39 p.m. Sunday concerning loud motorcycles. Police didn’t find loud motorcycles, but was concerned about the conditions of the public street, which police said has been an ongoing issue.

Police found a truck with no chock blocks and dark fluid leaking underneath the vehicle and a wood chipper trailer that had damaged the hot top. There was also a lot of trash and the vehicles, including empty beer bottles, broken glass and plastic bottles of oil and lubricants. There were also numerous vehicle parts and the area smelled of diesel fuel and oil, according to police.

Police tried to talk to the owner, but there was no answer. Police will send a citation to the owner for multiple motor vehicle and roadway offenses.

Police said in the report, “The numerous quality of life issues observed need to be addressed by both the Police Department and the City of Woburn Department of Public Works.”
