Police Log: Bicyclist Struck on Montvale Avenue

Tuesday, Aug. 19

At 7:09 a.m., police responded to Bow Street and Montvale Avenue after a bicyclist was struck by a car. A vehicle was turning left onto Bow Street and the driver didn’t see the bicyclist because of the sun. The bicyclist was thrown from the bike. He complained of neck pain, minor cuts to his leg and road rash. He was taken to Winchester Hospital.

At 3:41 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident on Mishawum Road. A vehicle taking a left collided with another vehicle. There were no injuries. One vehicle was towed.

At 8:05 p.m., police responded to the Whole Foods parking lot after someone backed into a parked car and left the area. There was more than $1,000 worth of damage to the parked car.

At 8:35 p.m., police responded to Lexington Street after a bicyclist struck the back of a parked car. The bicyclist was taken to Lahey Clinic for his injuries.
