Police Log: Driver Cited for Driving Car With His Girlfriend on the Hood

Friday, Sept. 19

At 12:38 p.m., a Woburn resident reported that someone fraudulently opened a Sprint account under his name.

At 8:33 p.m., police cited a 23-year-old Woburn man for failing to stop/yield, a passing violation and operating a vehicle with a suspended license. Police cited the driver during a traffic stop at Main and Fowle streets.

Saturday, Sept. 20

At 4:59 p.m., police cited a 37-year-old Woburn man for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a rejected inspection sticker. Police cited the driver during a traffic stop on Main Street.

At 6:24 p.m., police cited a 24-year-old Woburn man for operating a motor vehicle without a license and operating a motor vehicle with a rejected inspection sticker. Police cited the driver during a traffic stop on Main Street.

Sunday, Sept. 21

At 2:45 a.m., police cited a 45-year-old Woburn man for operating a motor vehicle negligently. Police cited the driver after he allegedly drove nearly one-quarter mile with his girlfriend on the hood of the car. They were having a dispute and when he tried to drive away, the woman reportedly jumped on the hood of the car. The man said he tried to drive to the police station parking lot to resolve the situation. The woman said the car was travelling at between 35 and 40 mph, but the driver said he was not going that fast. Police cited the driver and advised the couple of their rights.

At 10:43 a.m., police cited a 42-year-old Woburn man for operating a motor vehicle without a license. Police cited the man during a traffic stop on Main Street.

At 4:40 p.m., police cited a 56-year-old Winchester woman for operating a motor vehicle without an inspection sticker and forging/misuing an RMV document. Police cited the woman during a traffic stop on Bryant Street.

Monday, Sept. 22

At 1:56 a.m., police placed an intoxicated 25-year-old Lynn man into protective custody after a report of a man sleeping on the sidewalk near Applebees.
