Police Log: Ex-Roommate Reportedly Steals $1,400 From a Bible

At 8:21 a.m., the owner of an Arrow Drive business reported someone entered his business without using force and “messed with him.” Police have responded to the business previously after reports of someone moving around items. The owner said the person is harassing him.

At 9:07 a.m., a Page Place resident reported a former roommate stole $1,400. She said she kept it in a Bible and last saw the money in February. She said the ex-roommate knew the money was in the Bible.

At 10:01 a.m., police responded to a two-car accident on Commerce Way. A vehicle was coming off the Route 93 ramp when another vehicle, which was running a red light, struck the car. The driver of the car coming from Route 93 complained of neck pain, but refused transport to a hospital. One vehicle was towed. The driver that ran the red light was cited for a red light violation.

Sunday, Aug. 3

At 2:26 p.m., a Burlington resident reported being the victim of fraud. She said she answered a Craigslist ad for a iPhone 5. She said they agreed for $240 cash for the phone. She met the seller at the Woburn Mall and paid for the phone. When she tried to activate the phone, she found out the phone was listed as stolen.
