Police Log: Hinston Road Resident Reports Break-in

Excerpts from the Woburn Police Department log.

Thursday, Aug. 28

At 1:01 p.m., police received a report from Main Street about credit card fraud. Someone called her and said “you better check your credit card.” She found that someone used her credit card to spend $800 at Best Buy. She also found someone opened a card under her name at Home Depot. She doesn’t know who called her.

At 10:12 a.m., a person reported being assaulted by another employee at a Montvale Avenue business. The man said the other employee pushed him with both hands. Police spoke to the other employee who denied pushing the man, but said he may have bumped into him.

At 10:36 a.m., a Hinston Road resident reported someone entered his residence and stole a claddagh ring, $300 and a large jar filled with quarters. He said one of his bedroom windows was open and that someone went through a room.
