Police Log: Pedestrian Struck on Pleasant Street

Sunday, Sept. 28
At 2:22 a.m., police placed an intoxicated 28-year-old Laconia, NH, man into protective custody after a report of large group causing a disturbance at the Courtyard Marriott.
At 9:54 a.m., police placed an intoxicated 30-year-old Woburn into protective custody after a report of a man creating a disturbance with roommates.

At 5:01 p.m., police responded to a pedestrian accident on Pleasant Street. A woman was crossing the street in the crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle. She was knocked to the ground. The driver left the scene. The pedestrian declined medical attention.
At 6:44 p.m., police received a call from the Sons of Italy after someone entered an unlocked car and stole two pocketbooks. One pocketbook contained the woman’s license, car keys, vehicle titles, debit card, $50 in cash and numerous personal papers.

At 11:26 p.m., police arrested Nicholas Squillante, 20, 10 Michael Road, Wakefield, and charged him on a warrant. Police made the arrest after a report of a group of people arguing on Commerce Way.
