Police Log: Residents Report Flattened Tires

Saturday, Aug. 23
At 2:38 p.m., a Salem Street resident reported that a wallet was stolen from the front seat of his vehicle. The man later told police that he found the wallet in the Woodbrook Cemetery, but it was missing credit cards.

At 11:20 a.m., Woburn Police apprehended a stolen car suspect on Route 128 near the Winn Street Exit. The vehicle was reported stolen from Reading. State Police took custody of the suspect, who is a 44-year-old Falmouth man.

At 11:16 a.m., a Woburn resident reported identity fraud. Someone used her debit card to fraudulently spend $280 in New Jersey. The person also tried to use the card for a $900 purchase, but it was declined.
At 12:51 p.m., police responded to Montvale Avenue after a cyclist collided with a vehicle. There was minor damage to the vehicle. The cyclist declined medical attention.
At 1:48 p.m., police responded to a Rainin Road business about a previous theft of $621 worth of copper wire. The owner identified a previous temporary employee as the suspect. Police summonsed the 45-year-old Somerville man to court and charged him with larcney from a building.
At 7:08 p.m., police received a call from a person whose wallet was reportedly stolen from an unlocked locker at the YMCA.
Tuesday, Aug. 26
At 8:43 a.m., a Washington Terrace resident reported his car was vandalized. Someone flattened two tires and smashed a window.
At 6:45 p.m., a Frances Street resident reported someone slashed two car tires.
