Police Log: Thief Smashes Car Window, Steals Items Off Passenger's Seat

Monday, Sept. 8
At 11:54 a.m., police received a report of threats made toward a person at Woburn District Court. A North Reading man said he was leaving court after a civil matter. The other person involved in the case reportedly told the man that he was going to “take care” of him and his daughters. Police took a report.
At 2:31 p.m., a Woburn man reported identity theft. He said he received a letter from National Grid saying he owed $26.53. The account is attached to a Lynn address. He said he has never lived in Lynn. Police took a report.

At 6:37 p.m., police placed a 21-year-old Arlington man into protective custody after a report of an intoxicated man who refused to leave Papa Gino’s.
At 8:43 p.m., police responded to Micro Drive about a car break-in. Someone smashed a window and stole a Michael Kors purse, a pink Kate Spade wallet, $150, her social security card, a credit card, a debit card and her driver’s license. The items that were valued at about $900 were on the passenger’s seat. The credit card was used at 7-Eleven in Malden that day.

Tuesday, Sept. 9
At 8:14 a.m., A Creston Avenue resident reported someone vandalized his car. There was a large scratch on a door. Police took a report.
At 8:52 a.m., police responded to a car accident at Mishawum Road. One driver complained of lower abdominal pain and was taken to the hospital.
