Police: One Person Injured in Head-on Crash

Wednesday, Nov. 5
At 11:28 a.m., police responded to a two-car accident on New Boston Street. One vehicle reportedly crossed the center line and struck the other vehicle head on. One driver said he was looking at/listening to his cell phone navigation, which said to take a left. He said he was taking the left when he struck the other vehicle. He was cited for impeded operation. One person was taken to the hospital. Both vehicles were towed.

At 11:58 a.m., police arrested Bryan P. Morgan, 28, 19 Eastern Ave., Burlington, and charged him on a warrant for speeding, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating a motor vehicle without a registration in his possession. Police made the arrest on Russell Street.
At 2:56 p.m., police arrested Rogerio Assoncro Gomes, 44, 14 Macon Ave., Apt. 2, Haverhill, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle without a license and a warrant. Police responded to TD Bank on Montvale Avenue after Gomes went in the wrong direction in the parking lot and then struck a Do Not Enter sign when he tried to turn around.
