Friday, August 14 was the finale of SCI Social Capital Inc.'s 2026 Summer Concert Series.
Friday, August 14 was the finale of SCI Social Capital Inc.’s 2026 Summer Concert Series, featuring country rock and pop from Renee and the Renegades. Lead singer Renee Leavitt (renee.fyi/) is a Woburn native, and several of the bandmates, including Renee, are students and alumni of Berklee College of Music. This event was sponsored by Katie K. Frazier, Esq. of Touchstone Closing & Escrow (touchstoneclosing.com/).
Despite moving the concert to its “rain date” due to the heat advisory on August 7, a good crowd gathered to enjoy the live music at Library Park. “It was a beautiful evening with good music and great people,” shared one attendee.
In addition to the music, there were activities including lawn games and SCI’s Social Connection Bingo. Each bingo card featured icebreaker questions to facilitate conversations with neighbors. “I was able to speak to people I would not otherwise have met,” a community member shared.

Completed bingo cards served as a raffle ticket. During the concert intermission, one lucky winner was randomly selected to receive a t-shirt from SCI and a $10 Empower Woburn Gift Card.
The 2026 SCI Summer Concert Series welcomed hundreds of community members with three free concerts held in July and August. In addition to the performance by Renee and the Renegades, the series also featured R&B artist Melo Green (melogreen.com), sponsored by Winchester Savings Bank (winchestersavings.com), and The Swinging Ducks, a youth band from Winchester. Empower Woburn (empowercafes.com) was at all three events, providing food and drinks for purchase.
