Woburn Coronavirus Case Count Jumps On Long-Term Care Retesting
The city's case count increased by a record 43 Sunday, bringing the total to 476.
WOBURN, MA — Woburn saw its largest ever case count increase Sunday, an increase of 43. Just two more cases were added Monday, bringing the total to 476. The city attributed the increase in part to re-testing at long-term care facilities.
Twenty-two residents have died of the virus. Of the other 454 patients, slightly more than half, 231, have active cases.
As of Sunday, a significant majority of the city's patients, 303, are women.
