Woburn Coronavirus Update: 79 Confirmed Cases, Tax Deadline Delay
Fourty-four Woburnites are currently in isolation with the new coronavirus, as of Tuesday afternoon.
WOBURN, MA — Woburn has 79 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus, as of Tuesday afternoon, the city said. Forty-four of the cases are active and two residents have died. The remaining 33 have recovered.
For privacy reasons, the town does not release any information about the coronavirus patients. Public health officials conduct follow-up with the patients' contacts.
The city also announced Tuesday that the property and real estate tax deadline has been extended to June 1. All late fees and interest for water and sewer bills, real estate, excise and personal property taxes with a due date on or after March 10 have been waived as long as they're paid on or before June 30.
