Woburn Coronavirus Update: Nearly 400 Confirmed Cases
More than 60 percent of the city's coronavirus patients are women, according to demographic data released Monday.
WOBURN, MA — Woburn has nearly 400 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus, as of Monday afternoon. According to demographic data released by the city, there are 394 confirmed cases: 153 male and 241 female patients.
There were 357 confirmed cases as of Sunday. The total increased by 101 from Monday, April 27, when there were 293 cases.
The city has tended to see a significant increase in cases on Mondays and Tuesdays.

As of Sunday, the city's cases were roughly evenly split between active cases and past cases, with 177 active cases, 162 recoveries and 18 deaths. The city has not yet released an updated breakdown.
Dozens more residents are in quarantine for potential exposure to the virus.

The city also shared coronavirus cases by age group. Eighty-six residents 80 and over have tested positive, versus just seven under 20.
