Woburn Coronavirus Update: Over 200 Confirmed Cases, 11 Deaths
The number of confirmed cases in the city increased sharply Tuesday following testing at the city's long-term care facilities.
WOBURN, MA — Woburn has 224 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus as of Wednesday afternoon, according to the city. Eleven residents have died.
About half the cases, 110, are active, while the remaining 103 patients have recovered.
For privacy reasons, the town does not release information about the identity or location of coronavirus patients. However, the city said Tuesday that a sharp rise in total cases was the result of testing over the weekend of the city's long-term care facilities.

The number of cases increased from 180 Monday to 212 Tuesday.
