Woburn Dog Park Opens, City Hall Reopens On Limited Basis

Both facilities opened Wednesday with restrictions in place to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

WOBURN, MA — Woburn's Dog Park at Ferullo Field opened Wednesday after more than two years in the works, with restrictions in place to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Woburn City Hall also reopened on a limited basis, Wednesday.

The dog park has been in the works for years, with the city receiving a design proposal for Ferullo Field in Feb. 2018. The city received a grant from the Stanton Foundation covering 90 percent of the construction cost.

The Recreation Department shared rules for the dog park Tuesday, both standard rules and coronavirus guidelines. Due to the virus, visitors of the park are expected to wear masks, maintain 6 feet distance, not use amenities like water dishes and toys and avoid the park if it's crowded.
