Woburn E1 Mitey Mites Football Team

On 9/14/14, the Woburn Trojans had their first home game vs Lexington. It was another cool sunny Sunday morning, a great day for a football game. The Trojans received the football on the opening kickoff of the 1st half, the Trojans started on their own 20 yard line. Our starting offense was Bryan Ferreira (#6), Brady Cypret (#7), Dante DellaGratte (#12), Hayden Laprade (#33), Evan Kolodko (#31), Matthew McCarthy (#48), Amber Hayden (#73), Kevin Silva (#77), Leyland Stack (#78) and Joseph Sena (#87). On the 1st play of the series Bryan Ferreire (#6) ran the football for a 14 yard gain, then on the 2nd play of the 1st series Lexington was able to recover the football from a Trojans fumble. Lexington took over on our 36 yard line. The Woburn Trojans defense included Ty Cruz (#2), Bryan Ferreiro (#6), Alex Doan (#9), Devin Farren (#13), Joseph Silva (#23), Hayden Laprade (#33), Evan Kolodko (#31), Sean McCarthy (#40), Tayte Rokententez (#63), Alex Benitez (#65) and Leyland Stack (#78). On Lexington’s first play Leyland Stack (#78) had a huge solo tackle, but this was not enough for the Trojans and Lexington scored a touchdown. On their extra point attempt Hayden Laprade (#33) denied Lexington’s attempt and they came up short of the goal line.

On the Trojans second possession of the game they started on their own 22 yard line. The mitey mites went 4 and out, Lexington took over on our 26 yard line. The Trojans had some nice solo tackles by Bryan Ferreira (#6) and Hayden Laprade (#33) on this defensive possession, unfortunately, this was not enough and Lexington scored another touchdown. Lexington was successful on their extra point attempt.

On the 3rd possession of the 1st half Lexington kicked off to the Trojans and we downed the football on our 33 yard line. The offensive line had some nice blocking by Darren (#23), Michael White (#30), Nathan Medina (#51), Zach Steiner (#64) and Amber Hayden (#73). The Trojans had some nice runs by Bryan Ferreira (#6), Hayden Laprade (#33) and Leyland Stack (#78). Lexington took over on their 49 yard line. This defensive series the Trojans had some good tackles by Shaun Marsh (#44), Tristan Oliveira (#55), Logan Taylor (#58) and Tyler Gillardon (#62), they did the best they could do but Lexington was too fast and they were able to score a touchdown and their extra point. This concluded the first half and the Woburn Trojans were down 28-0.

The Trojans kicked off to Lexington and they ran the football back for another touchdown, Lexington attempted to kick a field goal and they were successful, the score is now 28-0. Lexington kicked off to the Trojans and they started on their own 32 yard line. The Trojans went 4 and out, Lexington took over on the Trojans 45 yard line. The defense held their ground and denied Lexington on moving the football, the defense only allowed a two yard gain. There were some great tackles in the 2nd half by Ty Cruz (#2), Hayden Laprade (#33), Shaun Marsh (#44), Tristan Oliverira (#55), Tyler Gillardon (#62), Tayte Roketente (#63), Zachary Steiner (#64), Alex Benitez (#65), Amber Hayden (#73), Kevin Silva (#77 and Leyland Stack (#78). On our last possession we had some very good runs by Alex Benitez (#65) and Hayden Laprade (#33). This concluded the game and the final score was 28 -0 Lexington.
