Woburn E1 Trojans Football Game vs Wilmington Wildcats on 10/19/14
On 10/19/14, the Woburn Trojan E1 football team traveled to Wilmington to pay the Wilmington Wildcats. It was a cool breezy Sunday morning. The Trojan’s were on a mission to silence the wildcats. The Trojans kicked off to the wildcats and they downed the football on their own 35 yard line. The Trojans defense was on fire and was led by Bryan Ferreira (#6), Brady Cypret (#7), Tyler Gillardon (#62), Joe Silva (#23), Leyland Stack (#78), Evan Kolodko (#31), Kevin Silva (#77), Devin Farren (#13), Hayden Laprade (#33), and Tristian Oliveira (#55). Every one of the Trojans on defense helped on every tackle. The Wildcats moved the football down to the 1 yard line then; they had a penalty and moved the ball back to the 6 yard line. It was 4th and 6 yards to go and the Trojans stood tall and stopped the wildcats from scoring. The football was pushed back to the 9 yard line and the Woburn Trojans took over on the 9 yard line. The offense consisted of Brady Cypret (#7), Amber Hayden (#73), Nathan Medina (#51), Shaun Marsh (#44), Dante DellaGrotte (#12), Tayte Roketentz (#63), Kevin Silva (#77), Leyland Stack (#78), Evan Kolodko (#31), Hayden Laprade (#33), and Bryan Ferreira (#6). On 1st down the football was handed off to Bryan Ferreira (#6) and he ran for a 15 yard gain, this was accomplished by the blocking of the offensive line and a huge block by Evan Kolodko (#31). The Trojans next few plays were a little ruff, it was 4th down and they were on their own 15 yard line; the football was handed off to Evan Kolodko (#31), he ran over some wildcats and pushed his way through for an 83 yard touchdown run. The Trojans tried for an extra point and they were successful by another run by Evan Kolodko (#31).
The Trojans kicked off to the wildcats and they downed the football on their own 44 yard line. Once again the Trojans were on fire, the defensive series was in control by Alex Benitez (#65), Tayte Rokentente (#63), Logan Taylor (#58), Michael White (#30), Matthew McCarthy (#48), Bryan Ferreira (#6), Evan Kolodko (#31), Sean McCarthy (#40), Shaun Marsh (#44), Leyland Stack (#78) and Ty Cruz (#2). There were numerous big tackles by Bryan Ferreira (#6), Joey Silva (#23), Hayden Laprade (#33), Evan Kolodko (#31), Matthew McCarthy (#48), Tayte Roketente (#63), Alex Benitez (#65), Amber Hayden (#73), and Leyland Stack (#78). It was 4th and goal, the wildcats were on the Trojans 8 yard line; they lined up and Amber Hayden (#73) made a phenomenal tackle and denying the wildcats a touchdown. The Trojans took over the football on their own 10 yard line. The football was handed off to Bryan Ferreira (#6) and he was able to barrel trough and gained 13 yards. This concluded the 1st half and the Trojans were defeating the wildcats by a score of 7-0.
The start of the 2nd half the Trojans received the football; they downed the ball on the 50 yard line. It was their 1st down and the football was handed off to Evan Kolodko (#31) he blew through a plethora of wildcats and he ran for a 5o yard touchdown. The Trojans kicked off to the wildcats and they downed the football on our 44 yard line. The Trojans were on defense and once again there were numerous huge tackles by Brady Cypret (#7), Bryan Ferreira (#6), Joey Silva (#23), Hayden Laprade (#33), Evan Kolodko (#31), Matthew McCarthy (#48), Tayte Roketentz (#63), Amber Hayden (#73) and Leyland Stack (#78). The wildcats moved the football down to the 20 yard line and it was 4th and 13; Hayden Laprade (#33) busted through the line and into the backfield to tackle the wildcats for a 5 yard loss and they turned the football over on their own 25 yard line. There were numerous ball carriers for the Trojans. On the 1st down Hayden Laprade (#33) ran for 7 yards then the next play the football was handed off to Evan Kolodko (#33) for a 20 yard gain. It was 2nd and 10 and the football was handed off to Bryan Ferreira (#6) for 18 yards. On two plays later on the wildcats 18 yard line and the ball was given Hayden Laprade (#33) and he ran for 15 yards to get down to the 3 yard line and a Trojans 1st down. Unfortunately, the Trojans had a penalty and moved the football back to the 8 yard line and then the ball was handed off to Leyland Stack (#78) and he ran the football down to the 1 yard line. It was 2nd and goal and the football was handed off to Hayden Laprade (#33) and he punched the football in for a Trojan touchdown. For the Trojans extra point attempt; Hayden Laprade(#33) passed the football to Evan Kolodko (#31) for a successful extra point attempt.

The Trojans kicked off to the wildcats ad they downed the football on their own 45 yard line, it was 3rd and 8 and the wildcats fumbled the football and it was recovered by Bryan Ferreira (#6). The Trojans took over on the 35 yard line. Regrettably, the Trojans fumbled the football and the wildcats took over the football on the Trojans 34 yard line. On this possession there were quite a few good tackles by Bryan Ferreira (#6), Devin Farren (#13), Sean McCarthy (#40) and Logan Taylor (#58). This was not enough and the Wilmington wildcats scored a touchdown. This concluded the football game and the Woburn Trojans had another glorious victory and the final score was 20-6.
