Woburn Man Found Dead in Lawrence

A man found dead in a car in Lawrence last week has been identified as a Woburn resident, the Eagle Tribune reports.

James Smith, 53, of Woburn, was found dead in a vehicle on Farnham Street on the evening of Aug. 12, according to police.

Smith was said to have been dead for about 24 hours, an autopsy revealed.

Police say they discovered Smith in a Mercury station wagon, which was registered in Woburn.

Smith’s cause of death has yet to be determined.

The investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
