Woburn Pop Warner E1 Mitey Mites vs the Wakefield Warriors

On October 12, 2104, the Woburn Pop warner E1 Trojan football team traveled to play the Wakefield Warriors. It was a cool brisk sunny morning, this cooler weather did not stop the Trojans, and they came out on fire and wanting to play some football. The Trojans were so pumped up that on opening kickoff; the Trojans kicked off to the warriors and Kevin Silva (#77) caused the warriors to fumble the football and Brady Cypet (#7) was able to recover the football on the warrior’s 47 yard line. The Trojans starting offensive line was arranged of Ty Cruz (#2), Brady Cypet (#7), Shaun Marsh (#44), Tyler Gillardon (#62), Tayte Rokenetz (#63), Joe Sena (#87), Robert Scanlon (#71), Amber Hayden (#73), Kevin Silva (#77) & Leyland Stack (#78). On 3rd & 10, Evan Kolodko (#31) ran the football for a 34 yard gain, on the next play Hayden Laprade (#33) ran for another 12 yard gain. Now it was 2nd and goal and Evan Kolodko (#31) ran the football in for a Trojan touchdown. The Trojans kicked off to the warriors and they downed the football on their own 45 yard line. On this possession the Trojans defense was compiled of Devin Farren (#13), Brady Cypet (#7), Alex Doan (#9), Tyler Gillardon (#62), Joe Sena (#87), Leland Stack (#78), Evan Kolodko (#31), Tayte Roketentz (#63), Robert Scanlon (#71), Hayden Laprade (#33) & Matthew McCarthy (#48). The warriors were able to run the football down the field and score a warrior touchdown.

On the warrior’s kickoff, the football was caught by Hayden Laprade (#33) for the Trojans and he ran for a 17 yard kickoff return; the Trojans started on the Warriors 43 yard line. On 2nd and 11 the football was handed off to Leyland Stack (#78) and he was able to run for a 12 yard gain and a Trojans first down. It was 1st & 10 on the 32 yard line; Evan Kolodko (#31) took the football and the offensive line was able to provide some enormous blocks and he was able to run past some warriors and score a Trojans touchdown. The Trojans were lined up for their extra point attempt, the football was given to Hayden Laprade (#33) and he did a nice spine move from right to left to get around a warrior player and he was in the end zone for a Trojans extra point.

The Trojans kicked off to the warriors and they downed the football on the 47 yard line. On this defensive series the Trojans were all over the warriors, the Trojans had some great solo tackles by Brady Cypet (#7), Evan Kolodko (#31) & Leyalnd Stack (#78). The Trojans also had some majestic tackles by Devin Farren (#13), Tyler Gillardon (#62), Leyland Stack (#78) and Kevin Silva (#77). Due to the defense stopping the football and not letting the Warriors move the football, they were able to take over on the warrior’s 47 yard line. On 1st and 10, Hayden Laprade (#33) ran the football for 16 yards. On the next play the football was handed off to Devin Farren (#13) and he pushed through and gained a couple of yards, on the next play Evan Kolodko (#31) moved the football down field for a first down. On 1st and 10 and the ball being on the 22 yard line; the Trojans had a complied a couple of penalties that moved them back to the 32 yard line; these penalties did not stop the Trojans and Evan Kolodko (#31) ran the football 32 yards for another Trojans touchdown. The Trojans lined up for the extra point attempt and Hayden Laprade (#33) completed a pass to Evan Kolodko (#31) and he scored the Trojans extra pint. This concluded the 1st half and the Trojans lead the Warriors by a score of 20-6.

For the start of the 2nd half the Trojans received the football and downed the ball on their own 30 yard line. On 3rd & 12 the football was handed off to Hayden Laprade (#33) and Nathan Median (#51) provided a hugs block and this was helped Hayden Laprade (#33) to pick a 29 yard run and brought the football into warrior’s territory. On 3rd & 7 for a first down; Evan Kolodko (#31) ran for a 14 yard gain and another Trojan first down. On 1st & 10; Leyland Stack (#78) ran for a 4 yard pick up and then Hayden Laprade (#33) ran for a 2 yard gain. Unfortunately, this was not enough and the Trojans ha dto turn the football over on downs to the warriors on their own 42 yard line.

On this defensive series the defense was composed of Brady Cypret (#7), Amber Hayden (#73), Logan Taylor (#58), Tristian Oliverra (#55), Michael White (#30), Hayden Laprade (#33), Tayte Roketentz (#63), Evan Kolodko (#31), Kevin Silva (#77), Leyland Stack (#78), Ty Cruz (#2) and Joe Sena (#87). The Trojans had some great tackles by Amber Hayden (#73), Kevin Silva (#77) & Leyland Stack (#78); regrettably this was not enough to stop the Wakefield Warrior’s and they scored a touchdown. The Trojans were able to stop the warrior’s extra point attempt.

The Warrior’s kicked off to the Trojans and they downed the football on their own 46 yard line. The Trojans went 4 and out and the warriors took over on the 49 yard line. There were some impressive by Brady Cypet (#7), Tayte Rokententz (#63), and some excellent solo tackle by Robert Scanlon (#71). Once again the warriors were able to score a touchdown; their extra point attempt was deprived of by Robert Scanlon (#71).

The warriors kicked off to the Trojans and Hayden Laprade (#33) caught the football and had a 17 yard kickoff return, the Trojans were starting on the Warriors 39 yard line. On 2nd & 7; Evan Kolodko(#31) ran the football down to the 2 yard line, this was accomplished by a huge block by Hayden Laprade (#33). On the next play Evan Kolodko (#31) was able to drive the football into the end zone for a Trojans touchdown. This concluded the football game. The Woburn E1 Trojans who played with enormous hearts today were successful on winning the football game by a score of 26-18.
