Woburn School Committee Elects New Chairperson: Report

WOBURN, MA — Newly-minted Woburn School Committee chairperson Ellen Crowley has been on the committee since 2013, but 2017 will be the first year she serves as chair, reports the Daily Times Chronicle.

With no debate and unanimous support from her colleagues, Crowley accepted her new role during Tuesday night's school committee meeting. Crowley is the successor of Chris Kisiel, who served as the committee's chair for the 2016 calendar year.

Crowley will later reassign other members of the school committee to subcommittee assignments for the 2017 calendar year.
