Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting on Mill Street Development Postponed to August Date: Report

The ZBA postponed its July 28 meeting on the proposed Chapter 40B permit request.

WOBURN, MA — A meeting of the Woburn Zoning Board of Appeals on the controversial Chapter 40B development on Mill St. on July 27 was cancelled and postponed to an August date, reports the Daily Times Chronicle.

The report indicates that City Clerk William Campbell's office indicated on July 26 that the meeting would be rescheduled to August 10. The project was originally pitched as a 113-unit rental apartment development at 57 Mill St.

The proposal has been filed under the Commonwealth's Chapter 40B Housing regulations, which allows developers to side-step local zoning bylaws if at least 25 percent of a development's housing is marketed towards residents making around 80 percent or lower of the area's median income.
