5 Men Invade Home, Steal Phones and Cash, Forcing Occupants Into the Bedroom

Police seek the public's help in finding five men who reportedly broke into a Worcester apartment on Thursday while 8 people were home.

WORCESTER, MA — Police are looking for tips to find five men who forced their way into a Worcester apartment, stole money, phones and jewelry, forced the occupants into a bedroom, and fled.

On Thursday, Dec. 29, around 6:49 a.m., Worcester police were called to a Lovell Street address, where a home invasion had occurred. Officers met with eight people inside the apartment, six of them juveniles ranging from 8 to 17 years old, and two adults.

The victims told place that five men forced their way into the apartment through the rear door. Both had their faces covered, and two had handguns. The men demanded cash, and took several cellphones, jewelry and money, fleeing the apartment. Before they left, the men forced those in the apartment into a bedroom and told them to wait a specific timeframe before exiting.

The descriptions of the suspects are vague at this time other than two being tall, approximately 6’4”, said police. One of the tall suspects may have had a Jamaican accent.
