'America's Got Talent' Star, SNL Veteran Bringing Comedy Shows To Worcester

The two popular comedians are headed to the city this spring.

WORCESTER, MA — Two comedy stars are headed to Worcester this spring to perform.

"America's Got Talent" finalist Gina Brillon will perform as a comedy show at the BrickBox Theater on May 8, while "Saturday Night Live" veteran Colin Quinn will perform live at Tuckerman Hall on Mar. 7.

Both shows are presented by The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts.

The theatre announced Brillon's show on Tuesday. The Bronx, New York native was a finalist on NBC's "America's Got Talent," and has appeared on "The View," "Late Night with Seth Meyers" and Comedy Central.

She brings "high-energy, culture-spanning humor that tackles family, identity, and everyday life with warmth and razor-sharp wit," according to the Hanover Theatre.

Tickets for Brillon's show on Friday, May 8, at 7 p.m., go on sale to the public on Friday. She will perform at BrickBox Theater, at 20 Franklin St. You can find those tickets here.

Two months earlier, SNL veteran Colin Quinn is also expected to perform in the city. The stand-up comedian, actor and author has appeared on many shows, including MTV's game show "Remote Control," and anchored the "Weekend Update" for SNL.

He is known for his sharp cultural commentary and New York perspective, the Hanover Theatre said.

“Colin Quinn’s legendary wit and Gina’s dynamic storytelling create an unforgettable spring lineup,” said Alan Seiffert, the president and CEO of The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory.

Tickets for Quinn's show on Saturday, Mar. 7, at 7 p.m. are on sale now. He will perform at Tuckerman Hall, at 10 Tuckerman St. You can find those tickets here.

“Together, they deliver two distinct, world-class comedy experiences for the Worcester community to enjoy,” Seiffert said.

More Shows Coming To Worcester

Some other big names are also scheduled to perform in Worcester this year.

The legendary comedian, Jerry Seinfeld, best known for his iconic sitcom 'Seinfeld,' is headed to Worcester for two live stand-up shows. He will perform at the Hanover Theatre on Feb. 28 at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Author and Food Network star Alton Brown announced a one-night-only show for April. The show titled "An Evening of Alton Brown" will showcase an intimate theatrical experience showing behind the scenes of some of his popular culinary shows, including "Good Eats", "Iron Chef America", "Cutthroat Kitchen", and "Food Network Star."

Brown will perform at The Hanover Theatre, 2 Southbridge St., on Saturday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m.
