WORCESTER, MA — A water main break on Norton Drive is affecting water service and traffic in the area Friday.
The break was confirmed at 11:31 a.m. June 12, with the Department of Public Works and Worcester police on scene. Water has been shut off to an isolated business, according to the city update.
Residents in the Burncoat area may be experiencing low water pressure, but pressure is currently rebuilding.
Traffic is being diverted near the break. Motorists are being asked to follow Worcester Police Department-directed detours.
At about 2 p.m. Friday, Worcester police said that one southbound lane going into the city had reopened.
