WAYLAND, MA — Wayland residents have another summer music option beginning Wednesday at Town Beach.
The Wayland Recreation Department’s Town Beach Sunset Concert Series will run from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, with live music from Sway Island and Big Foot. Entry is free with a season pass or day pass, according to the department.
The Town Beach concerts will continue July 23 with Peter Lavenson and Friends and Aug. 13 with By Chance They Met.
The beach series follows the return of Wayland’s 15th Annual Outdoor Community Concert Series, which began June 18 at the Wayland Community Center, 8 Andrew Ave.. That series, hosted by the Wayland Council on Aging, runs Thursday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m. through July 16.
The final Council on Aging concert is scheduled for July 16 with The Honey Steelers Band, a Lowell-based Americana group.
Attendees at the Town Beach series are encouraged to bring a seat for the sand.
