Assumption College Men's Lacrosse Welcomes Worcester Natives
Derric Dell'Olio and Ryan Morgera, both of Shrewsbury, will join Assumption College Men's Lacrosse Team.
From Assumption College: The Assumption College Department of Athletics has announced that 34 student athletes have earned a coveted spot on the College's 2017 men's lacrosse team. Local student athletes include:
- Derric Dell'Olio of Shrewsbury
- Ryan Morgera of Shrewsbury
"I am very excited to see the growth and development of our 2017 team," said fifth-year head coach Keith Loftis. "We are a very young, but talented, coachable and hard-working group. Our goal is to become a nationally competitive Division II lacrosse program and to compete for a Northeast-10 Conference Championship."
The Assumption men's lacrosse team was picked 10th in the Northeast-10 Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll. Though Assumption is coming off a 3-8 season, Loftis is hoping to build on the young talent as well as capitalize on the return of seven of the team's top eight scorers from a season ago as well as both of their top goalies.
