Experienced volunteer guides provide an in-depth look at the history and architecture of The Hanover Theatre on a two hour walking tour. A magnificent example of early 20th century theatre architecture, The Hanover Theatre was designed by Thomas Lamb, the foremost theatre and cinema architect of his day.

Here are a series of essays, stories and poems emerging from the natural world, but always connected to a life that has had its common share of illumination and darkness, hope and despair, love and loss, ambition and failure, resistance and acceptance, anger and peace. Marking timber for harvest becomes a meditation on the unique connection between responsibility to the natural world and awareness of self and others. A shadow in the woods, a voice on the wind opens up the mystery inherent in all the wisdom traditions. The impact of a sudden death on a logging crew lingers for decades, demanding a resolution between hubris and fate. The crushing retreat of the United States from climate science and advocacy manifests in a longing for the precise language of another time when we were closer to the natural cycles of life.
About the Author
Bob formed a deep connection to the natural world very early in life, beginning a journey that continues today. His experiences in nature have shaped his thinking, expanded his awareness, and offered him new perspectives. To better understand them, Bob studied psychology and wisdom traditions and integrated these insights into a new leadership model in forestry and large-scale land conservation.
Currently, as a speaker and author, he is dedicated to promoting a bioeconomy that emphasizes the construction of tall buildings using engineered wood. His work focuses on replacing materials with high fossil fuel content, such as plastic, steel, and concrete, with sustainably sourced and climate-resilient forest products. Bob lives in an oak forest on the north shore of the island of Martha’s Vineyard.

About the Book
The daily struggles Adam Clarke faces are enough to split him in two. His genuine identity as a young man who endeavors to make those around him happy, as a compassionate care worker who goes above and beyond in his profession and as a loving son, pitted against his scatterbrain state of mind, addictions, and his deep self-loathing. Against the advice of doctors and his grade-school teachers, Adam’s mother chose not to medicate her son’s debilitating ADHD. As a result of her decision, Adam begins to self-medicate his problematic impulsiveness and overwhelming urges. Now twenty-three and guilty of a horrific accident, Adam is about to lose the only thing he has left, his freedom. He must decide to give up on himself or fight for a better life on the other side.

Jennifer Shaw Cronin, author Under the Hidden Moon and now Beneath the Turmoil, has spent more than forty years working in the animal care field. Alongside her professional career, she enjoys writing stories that explore resilience and hope, CrossFit and hiking with her dog. She volunteers at the local animal shelter, serves as a library trustee and continues to champion causes close to her heart. She lives in Massachusetts with her husband, their dog, three goats and an assortment of chickens. Together, they share a full and joyful life with four daughters and two grandsons.&nbsp;
