DCU Hosts Red Cross Blood Drive
Presenting donors will receive one voucher for Monster Jam playing the DCU Center in January 2017 and a $5 Amazon gift code.
The SMG-managed DCU Center announced today that they will host the Annual American Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, August 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. inside the Convention Center lobby. To schedule an appointment to donate blood, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org. Donors can save time by using RapidPass to begin their health history. Right now, the American Red Cross has a significant blood shortage. With less than a five-day blood supply on hand, this blood drive is more important than ever. The American Red Cross has issued an emergency request for eligible blood and platelet donors of all blood types to roll up a sleeve now and help save lives.
Blood donations are being distributed to hospitals faster than donations are coming in. Your donation can give hope to hospital patients in your community, including accident victims, heart surgery patients and those receiving treatment for leukemia, cancer or sickle cell disease.
Presenting donors will receive one voucher for Monster Jam playing the DCU Center on January 13-15 and a $5 Amazon gift code. The Worcester Railers HC Mascot will make an appearance from 2-4 p.m.
Limited curbside parking outside the Convention Center on Major Taylor Boulevard will be available for donors. Donors should enter through Door #2 of the Convention Center.
