Former Patriot, Boston College Star Dies at 29

Former New England Patriot and Boston College standout Ron Brace has died. He was 29.

Boston College confirmed the news on Twitter.

No cause of death has been announced.

Brace was a local boy from the start, playing at Burncoat High in Worcester before helping form one of the stoutest defensive lines in college football at Boston College. He was drafted by the Patriots in the second round in 2009 and played 39 games before being released in 2012.

Brace is the third former Patriot to die this year, following Kevin Turner and Julius Adams.
