MA Man Who Filmed Abuse Of Young Boys Gets Prison Sentence

WORCESTER, MA — A North Brookfield man who videotaped and photographed the young boys he was sexually abusing could spend up to 20 years in prison. Paul Menard, 55, pleaded guilty to sex abuse charges on Monday, and was sentenced in the same day.

According to Worcester County prosecutors, Menard abused four underage boys between 1998 and 2016. He lured the boys to his home and served them drinks laced with drugs.

Assistant District Attorney Lambrini Pashou asked a judge to send Menard to prison for up to 30 years, calling his abuse some of the worst she's ever seen. Menard will serve a minimum of 15 years in prison, plus five years of probation.

Menard was charged with 11 counts of child rape, 11 counts of possession of child pornography, nine counts of posing a child in a state of nudity, and two counts of indecent assault against a person over age 14.

Police from Worcester and North Brookfield and state police investigated the case. Menard was first arrested in 2016 at his home.
