Man Accused Of Stealing $325K Worth Of Frozen Snow Crabs From Worcester Warehouse

He was also accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of other items, like blueberries and cologne.

WORCESTER, MA — A man from New York has been accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of snow crabs from a warehouse in Worcester, along with other items like blueberries and cologne from other places.

Romoy Forbes, 31, was charged after officials said he conspired to infiltrate email accounts of truckload carriers, used the hacked accounts to book cargo with shippers, and sold the items for profit. He is facing multiple charges, including interstate transportation of stolen goods and conspiracy to commit the offense, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

In July 2025, Forbes was accused of stealing 33,750 pounds of frozen snow crabs, worth $325,000, from a Worcester warehouse, according to the charging documents.

The USAO said that, leading up to the theft, a co-conspirator hacked into the email account of a trucking company and pretended to work for it. While posing as a worker, he contacted a shipping company to arrange transport of the goods to a customer in Jacksonville, FL.

However, instead of delivering the seafood to a customer in Florida, Forbes drove it to a grocery store in Queens, NY, and took a photo of the pallets of packaged crabs with his phone, officials said.

Before the seafood heist, Forbes was accused of stealing a shipment of blueberries in New Jersey in a similar way, the USAO said.

Following both incidents, he also conspired to steal more than $433,000 worth of cologne in Ronkonkoma, NY, by posing as a company and planning to send the goods to Los Angeles, CA.

Forbes, who is a Jamaican national living in Deer Park, NY, now faces up to 15 years in prison and will appear in federal court in Boston at a later date.
