Man Charged After Armed Robbery At Worcester Bank
The 67-year-old was accused of demanding money inside a bank and claiming he had a firearm, police said.
WORCESTER, MA — A man in Worcester has been charged after an armed robbery at a bank in the city on Monday.
Michael Decarolis is facing armed robbery charges, according to the Worcester Police Department. The 67-year-old was accused of demanding money inside a bank and claiming he had a firearm, police said.
Worcester police officers responded to Beacon Bank at 386 Main St. at around 1:45 p.m. on Monday for a reported armed robbery
When arriving, officers learned that a man had come into the bank and was demanding money while claiming he had a firearm, according to police. No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect was located on Sagamore Road and arrested without incident, accoridng to police.
Officers found a bag full of cash on his person, but did not find a firearm.
