Man Faces Charges After Allegedly Breaking Into Several Cars
A man allegedly broke into several cars on Canterbury Street.

WORCESTER, MA—A Worcester man is facing charges after he allegedly stole from numerous cars in a Worcester neighborhood.
On Thursday, Aug. 11, at approximately 10:11 p.m., WPD officers were dispatched to a Canterbury Street address for a report of a man breaking into motor vehicles. The suspect was described as a white male wearing a black shirt, black backpack and a black hat.
Officers spotted a man jumping a fence at Southgate Street and Walpole Street, finding a black hat on the ground in that area. The also found a man hiding under a car parked in a driveway of a Canterbury Street home.
The male, identified as James Munn, 30, Lincoln Street, Worcester, refused to comply with the officers orders. Munn refused to place his hands behind his back and began to flail his arms and legs. Officers were eventually able to gain control of Munn and placed him under arrest.
Officers found the checkbook of one of the victims in Munn's back pocket, and also a driver's license and credit cards belonging to another person of a reported car break, as well as another license and wallet to another. There was also a backpack under the car where Munn was hiding, and in it were tools and other personal belongings that didn't belong to him.
Witnesses identified Munn, and he was was charged with Trespassing, Possession of Burglarious Instruments, Receiving Stolen Property over the Value of $250.00, resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Disturbing the peace, breaking and Entering into a MV in the Nighttime with the Intent to Commit a felony and larceny over the Value of $250.00.
Due to numerous evidence recovered that belonged to many different people WPD detectives will continue to investigate this incident.
