Man Faces Firearms, Drug Charges After Breaking Into Car: Police
The owners of a vehicle called police, telling them a man with a gun was in their car.

WORCESTER, MA—A Worcester man is facing drug and firearms charges after the owners of a car he had allegedly broken into called police to the scene.
On Thursday, Aug. 4, around 6 a.m., Worcester police responded to Norfolk Street for a report of a man with a gun in a vehicle that did not belong to him.
After confronting the man in their car, they called police. The suspect, later identified as 31-year-old Alcides Valentin of Worcester, threatened to shoot the victims when they approached him.
When police arrived on the scene, Valentin was getting into his own car, said police. Valentin allowed police to search his vehicle to attempt to locate his ID, and when they did, officers found that Valentin was in possession of a loaded firearm, three bags of marijuana (approx. 185.9 grams) along with $5,530 cash.
Alcides Valentin, 31, of 185 Pilgrim Ave, Worcester was charged with Improperly Storing a Firearm, Possession of Improper Storage of a Firearm, Possession of Firearm/Ammunition without an FID Card, Defacing the Serial Number of a Firearm, Threat to Commit a Crime, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle with Intent to Commit a Felony, Possession of Class D Substance with Intent to Distribute.
