Man Seriously Hurt, Allegedly Stabbed During Neighbor Dispute

Police are aware of the suspect and there is a warrant out for his arrest.

WORCESTER, MA—Police are looking for a suspect after a man was stabbed during a neighbor dispute on Sunday.

Worcester Police responded shortly after 11 a.m. to an Esther Street apartment for a report of an assault involving a dangerous weapon. Police saw a significant amount of blood on the front porch, and the trail of blood led officers to the second floor apartment. They found a 26-year-old man, conscious and alert, sitting on the couch suffering from a stab wound to the upper body.

The stabbing was allegedly the result of a neighbor dispute, said police, and that the victim was stabbed when the verbal argument turned physical. The suspect fled. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and immediately went into emergency surgery to repair a damaged artery. The victim has non-life threatening injuries.

Police are currently looking for the suspect. Police are aware of his identity and a warrant is active for his arrest.
