BOSTON, MA — Two businesses atop the Prudential Tower are set to close this Spring.
The Beacon Bistro on the 50th floor and Stratus, a rooftop bar on the 51st floor of the Prudential Tower in Back Bay, are set to close on Apr. 21, according to Legends Global, the venue management and services company that operates "View Boston."

CBS News reported that Legends Global plans to lay off another 38 part-time employees at that time. The business told the news outlet that it is evolving the Observatory experience at View Boston.
View Boston opened at the top of the Prudential Center in 2023. The experience features indoor and outdoor observation decks above the Pru's office spaces and shopping mall.
Patch has reached out to The View Boston for comment, but has not yet heard back.

This news comes just a few weeks after Simon Property Group said it would be closing its Neiman Marcus location in Back Bay. The major luxury retailer is inside Copley Place, which is connected to the Prudential Center.
There will be a major redevelopment of the multi-level store, including two new luxury restaurants and additional retail, dining, and wellness concepts. The Back Bay location is Neiman Marcus's last store in Massachusetts.
