Shrewsbury Nonprofit Replaces Worcester Girl's Stolen Stroller
The 5-year-old's $2,800 wheelchair stroller was taken from outside her Worcester home recently.

WORCESTER, MA — A Shrewsbury nonprofit stepped up to replace a specialized stroller stolen from a disabled Worcester 5-year-old last week.
On Saturday, Worcester police asked for help from the public to locate a wheelchair-stroller stolen from outside a home on Tuesday. Ariel Nguyen, 5, uses the $2,800 chair to get around because she has difficulty walking. Nguyen was preparing to get on the bus to go to school when the theft happened.
Andrea Castinetti, president of the Kindness Coalition of Massachusetts nonprofit, saw the story and decided to raise enough money to buy a replacement for Nguyen, Boston 25 reported.
Castinetti told the station the group was able to raise enough money to buy a new stroller in just a few hours. Nguyen's new chair should arrive this week, according to the report.
Worcester police are still searching for the stroller — and the person who took it. If you've seen the stroller, contact Worcester police detectives at (508) 799-8651. You can also send an anonymous tip to police via the department website.
