WORCESTER, MA — Thursday (St. Patrick's Day), The Bumble Tones are at Vincent's; Bret Talbert rocks the bar at Brew City; Denis Coughlin, Walter Crockett & Chuck and Mud, along with Dave Martel and Bob Belanger play some green music starting at 7 p.m. at the Blue Plate in Holden; Beatnik's and College MuSick present Olivia Frances, Three Piece Meal, and Van Ward with Three Piece Meal; the Drunken Uncles do it up acoustic at the Compass Tavern; and WGBH presents "A St Patrick's Day Celtic Sojourn" with Brian O'Donovan at the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts.
Friday, Jim Perry goes solo at Padavano's, starting at 9 p.m.;Josh Briggs and Friends liven up the White Eagle; Airspray is at Electric Haze; Ken Macy returns to Loft 266; Ron Sloan and Not Alone hits Birch Tree Bread Co. every week from noon to 2 p.m.; a Murder Mystery Dinner takes place at El Basha Restaurant on Park Ave., starting at 6 p.m.; Andy Cummings and Swingabilly Lounge swing it at Michael's Cigar Bar; and Clamdigger buries itself at Greendale's.
Saturday, 9Teen, a Steely Dan tribute that also plays funky, jazzy pop in the same vein, has no static at all at Greendale's; the 7th Annual Special Olympics Benefit starts at 2 p.m. with Xband, Far From Eden, TD & The Change, Rose Colored Glasses. Adamsson-Gianfriddo-Sutka, Charley Dee and the Blues Doctrine, CounterAttack at Halligan's in Auburn; Shady Armadillo rocks JJ's in Northborough; the Linda Dagnello Jazz Quintet starts at 8 p.m. at Nick's; Auntie Trainwreck rocks Padavano's Place; and the Festival of Feathers, an "urban bird celebration to learn the basics of bird watching, meet one of our resident birds of prey, collect data on Worcester’s urban bird populations, and discover bird, egg, and nest specimens from our behind-the-scenes natural history collection, takes place at the EcoTarium.
The Art of Peace exhibit sponsored by The Center for Nonviolent Solutions continues through March 31 at the Worcester Art Museum.
