WAYLAND, MA— Wayland is set to launch a redesigned town website.

The town announced that residents and visitors could check out the newly redesigned website as early as Thursday, but the town has since postponed the launch. The update is aimed at improving the online experience with a modern design, enhanced navigation and added functionality to help users access services and find information.

While it's not yet clear when the new site will launch, Wayland officials said they will provide updates as soon as possible.

The town also said there will be a minor change for people who view board and committee agendas. Instructions will be posted on the town website on Thursday, and people who currently receive alerts there will continue to receive them.

“Over the last few months, town staff have worked diligently with our vendor, CivicPlus to redesign our website to provide a friendlier user experience. This launch marks a significant milestone in our efforts to strengthen communication, accessibility and engagement,” said Town Manager Michael McCall in a statement.

The website launch marks a townwide communications update centered on access to municipal information and services. Based on the announcement, residents looking for agenda access changes or new navigation details can find that information once the site goes live on Thursday.
