Beach Read: When Swimming Spots Open Nearby

It's a hot weekend, and probably not the last one. See when beaches, pools and other swimming spots will be open nearby this summer.

WORCESTER, MA — With temperatures near 90 — plus that humidity — this weekend, you might be looking for a place to take a dip.

Swimming spots at state parks and in cities in towns across the region are just starting up for the 2022 season. Here's a look at when those facilities open, and which ones are open right now.

Worcester

  • Lake Quinsigamond State Park — Opened with lifeguards over Memorial Day weekend.

  • Cochituate State Park — Facilities open daily at 8 a.m.

  • Atkinson pool — Open daily, but closed over July 4 weekend; closing afternoons starting July 5 until Aug. 12 for summer swim camp

Hopkinton
