Worcester to Boston in Less Than an Hour: MBTA Introduces 'Heart to Hub'
The new high-speed commuter rail service from Worcester to Boston starts May 23. Peak hour schedules will change, too.

WORCESTER, MA — For the first time, commuters will be able to take a high-speed, non-stop train from Worcester and Boston that takes less than an hour.
Starting on May 23, the service will operate twice daily—morning and evening—and every weekday.
The added services to the Framingham/Worcester line leave from Union Station in Worcester at 8:05 a.m. and travels express to Boston with stops at Yawkey, Back Bay and South Station. In the evening, it will depart South Station at 7:35 p.m. and stop at Back Bay and Yawkey before proceeding direct to Worcester.
The Worcester/Framingham Line also has changes coming to its peak hours come May 23. It'll operate 11 Boston-bound trains during the morning peak commuting window, with seven trains originating in Worcester's Union Station and four in Framingham.
In addition to the nonstop HeartToHub, three Worcester trains will run express and three make local stops.
During the evening peak hours, the schedule includes 10 trains departing South Station, with seven landing at Union Station and three ending in Framingham. Of the seven Worcester-bound trains, four will run express and three make local stops.
