Worcester Man Broke Into School, Stole TV And Projectors: Police

Police got a call about an alarm going off at the Waverly Alternative School and caught the man with a TV loaded in a cart.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police said they caught a man red handed who broke into a local school and tried to steal technology in the school, including a TV. The man broke into the Waverly Alternative School, according to police.

Worcester police got a call on Saturday about the alarms in the Waverly School going off. When police got to the school, they found the man, identified as Alexis Montes of Coral Street, pushing a cart with a big screen TV from inside. Police also saw that the back window to the school had been broken.

When police went back through surveillance tapes they saw Montes break into the school and take the TV along with two projectors. Montes was arrested and is charged with two counts of breaking and entering in the daytime, larceny from a building and vandalism.
