Worcester Police Investigate Fatal Stabbing At Rooming House
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
WORCESTER, MA — The Worcester Police Department's Detective Bureau is investigating an early morning fatal stabbing at a rooming house in the city on Thursday.
Worcester police officers responded to reports of an assault involving a knife at a rooming house on Catharine Street at about 4:11 a.m. Inside the home, officers located an adult male suffering from stab wounds.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
Officers located another adult male at the scene, the suspect, and arrested him.
Worcester police said all evidence indicates it was an isolated incident and that there is no danger to the public.
Police did not share the identities of the victim or the suspect. The case remains under investigation.
